5 Throw Together Crock Pot Recipes. Easy recipes to toss in your crock pot and cook.

 

Put chicken legs/thighs in crock pot along with peeled potatoes that are quartered and two cans of green beans do not drain the beans. Salt and pepper, mix it all together. Cook on low for 2-3 hours. The juice from the chicken will season the beans and potatoes.

Chicken Chili:

  • 2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 chopped celery sticks
  • 1 can (18.25 oz.) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (18.25 oz.) red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cans (15 oz. ea.) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • Combine all ingredients. Cook covered on HIGH 4 hours or LOW 8 hours.

Pull Apart Pulled Pork:

  • 2 1/2 -lb. lean boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 large green or red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • Heat skillet over medium-high heat and cook pork, turning to cook all sides, until browned, about 4 minutes. Arrange pork in slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Cook covered on LOW 8 to 10 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours until pork is fork-tender. Remove pork; reserve juices, removing fat. Shred pork with fork, then stir into reserved juices. Serve on warm hamburger buns.

Chicken Pot Pie Stew:

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of fat
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup sliced mushroom caps
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tsp. fresh thyme leaves
  • Stir together milk and flour in your crock pot. Place chicken in slow cooker and turn to coat. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours or until vegetables are tender.

Sausage and Pepper Sandwiches:

  • 1 package Italian sausage links, around 1 1/4 pounds
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced on the thicker side
  • 2 onions, sliced on the thicker side
  • 1 splash white wine, optional
  • Hero rolls
  • Provolone or mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Place sausage, peppers and onion into the crock pot and top with a splash of wine.  Cover and cook for 4 hours on low heat.
  • Place on rolls and top with cheese. Serve immediately.
