Country Style Crispy Corn Fritters


Country Style Crispy Corn Fritters. Tender inside with a crispy crust. Server for breakfast or an appetizer, dipped in honey or syrup.



Country Style Crispy Corn Fritters


  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 12 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained


  1. Heat oil in a heavy pot or deep fryer to 365 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  3. Beat the egg, milk, and melted butter; stir into flour mixture.
  4. Stir in the corn kernels.
  5. Drop fritter batter by spoonfuls into the hot oil, and fry until golden.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
