Easy Pecan Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- 1 1 /2 Cups chopped semi-sweet chocolate or chocolate chips
- 1/2 Tablespoon shortening
- 24 large pretzel twists
- 24 pecans
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with waxed paper.
Place the chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after every 30 seconds, until melted. Stir in shortening to slightly thin the chocolate. If chocolate too thin, add more chocolate chips.
Carefully add the chocolate on top of the pretzels.
Place the pretzels in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to set the chocolate.
Add 1 pecan on top of each chocolate covered pretzel.
Pretzels will keep for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
