Floating Strawberry Cobbler. This recipe is homemade but so easy to make.

 

Floating Strawberry Cobbler

Ingredients

Top layer:

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries mashed
  • 1/2 cup sugar or until strawberries are sweet
  • 2 Tablespoons flour

Bottom layer:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup SELF RISING FLOUR
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

Top layer:

  1. Mix mashed strawberries with sugar in a cooking pan. Then add flour. Stir well.

  2. Cook on stove until it thickens (about 1 minute after it starts boiling)
  3. Set aside

Bottom layer:

  1. Melt butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish
  2. Stir in SELF RISING flour, sugar and milk
  3. Mix well (may be slightly lumpy)
  4. Add the strawberry mixture on top
  5. Spread evenly
  6. Bake in preheated oven 450 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown

Recipe Notes

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired .
