Tips To Making A BETTER Brownie. Use these substitute ingredients to improve the taste of your brownies. Use for boxed or homemade brownies.


For a richer flavor: Instead of chocolate chips use cocoa powder.

For a more fudgy brownie: Instead of white sugar use brown sugar,

For a gluten free brownie: Instead of wheat flour use almond flour.

For a light brownie: Use margarine instead of butter.

For a more cake like brownie: Use 2 eggs instead of 1.

Add chunks of your favorite chocolate candy bar to the mix.

Top your brownies with white, chocolate or peanut butter chips after they bake.

Add marshmallows to the brownie mix. About 1/2 cup.

Top the brownies with frosting.

Add caramel syrup to the brownies. After pouring the brownie batter into the pan, pour caramel syrup over the batter. Swirl caramel throughout the batter with a knife.

Add 1 can of fruit to the brownie mix.

Make brownie cookies. Mix brownie mix with 1 egg (instead of 2), 1/3 cup oil, 2 TBS water, and 1/4 cup of flour. Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes until the cookies look set.

Add an extra 4 TBS milk

Add a big spoonful of vanilla extract.
